From Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai
Okay, so maybe there weren't actually snakes on the train, the journey was so long that I could have done with a couple to increase the excitement level.
The plan was to go from Ayutthaya to Sukhothai, a town about half way between Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai to see some more Wat's but we are a bit Wat(ted) out and the train times were no good. Late last night, after we realized it's 12 hours to Chiang Mai, we tried to get an overnight train but they were all booked. In fact, all of the overnight trains were booked for the next several days, leaving us with only taking a day train if we wanted to get to Chiang Mai.
Besides being boring the train was nice we got served water and food:
I was enjoying the chicken on the left until Janelle pointed out that it was fish and not chicken, so I couldn't eat it anymore!
