Monday 4/6/9

I slept well and woke up to a very cold mornining, but I stayed dry in ther shelter. Everything about my body feels really good except for my knee. I don't have any blisters and none of my muscles are very sore.

Its getting very cold and I decided I need a low mileage day. There have been some very active bears north of where I am and I could either do 4.2 miles and stay at a hostel or do 15 miles and stay in a supposed snow storm so I'm going to stay at Neels Gap and only do the 4.2 to give my knee a rest.

I climbed blood mountain today, the highest mountain in Georgia along the AT. It wasn't bad at all I flew along with the vision of burgers and pizza in my mind.

Once I got to Neels Gap they have an outfitter and hostel and they make pizzas for $7, much less than I was willing to pay. There was als a church group here making free burgers and spreading the word of god, it was delicious!

"One track" called a friend to pick her up and stay there until the weather gets better, I have a feeling she won't be back.

I'm staying here with sean, miami jeff and rochester bob. I took a shower and did some laundry, it was heaven. I'm getting another pizza tonight from dominoes, so excited!

Tomorrow is going to be a long day, so I hope my knee gets better. There are 16 bunks here and they are all filled tonight, the smell of sweat, bo and stinky feet fill the air, but its an incredible smell. I'm glad I am here.
