The Sun

My Bike

I went to the Anne Frank House Museum, where Anne Frank lived and wrote her diary. Anne, her family and another family all lived in two secret bedrooms in the attic of her fathers company. Only the office people at Mr. Frank’s company knew they were in the attic and would bring them supplies almost daily to keep the families alive. The museum takes you through the former company and into the attic where they all lived. None of the people in the attic survived after being captured except for Mr. Frank who setup the museum and several foundations to spread knowledge and prevent prejudice.

I rented a bike to tour the city as the locals do. First I explored the downtown area and then headed west towards the coast. I would later learn it is over 27 KM (15 Miles) to get where I wanted to go. When Yvonne and I went biking in Stuttgart I had an amazing time and added biking to my list of things to do on a regular basis when I go home. This time I was also really enjoying myself. As I headed west away from Amsterdam I started to get a little pain in my knee. Then when I started back towards Amsterdam I started to get some really intense pain and had to stop to give my knee a rest and try to stretch out the pain. My butt was also hurting me though so I am just hoping that it was too much of something my body isn’t used to and it won’t always hurt to ride a bike. Besides all of that, the ride was really nice. Once I left the city there were lots of fields filled with cows and windmills. The sky was finally clear and free from rain and the temperature was a nice 14 C. I didn’t really take any pictures because I was enjoying myself too much to stop and ruin the moment, so to speak.

I went back to the Redlight District at night to see how things changed from the day to night. The streets are full of lone guys walking around looking really creepy and staring in the windows at the girls. There were some girls that were prettier than the other two that I saw the other day, but there were also plenty of women who look like the ones I described the other day as well. Since they are there, they must make money and if they make money some guys must be into them. I felt very creepy and so I didn’t stick around for long.

As I laid in bed last night I could feel my knees hurting and took some Advil. This morning they are killing me and getting out of bed was a struggle. I had hoped all of the AT knee pain was gone and that everything had healed, apparently not. I am really really upset, I would say how I really feel, but I don’t want to put those words on the internet.
