By a big fountain
Last night my hostel started having free pasta dinner parties again. Now we get free breakfast and free dinner, it’s quite a deal. The first night in this hostel there were four other people in my room besides me and the second night I was the only one in the room. Again yesterday I went to my room around 10pm and I was still the only one in there. I was very excited to have all that privacy to myself. When I finally made my way back to my room last night I was surprised to find the room full of French guys. They had come late in the night and will be here the rest of the time I am at this hostel. Not one of them speaks English and as I have stated before my French is terrible at best.
Today I headed to Tivoli a city an hour outside of Rome that has a couple of World Heritage Sites. I went to Ville D’Esti an old vacation spot for rich Romans that has thousands of fountains. It was absolutely amazing all of the fountains everywhere. They had one fountain that plays an organ using water pressure. When its hot outside you don’t need air conditioning all you need are stone walls and natural cold water and it can really cool down a room.
I have now been travelling for 5 months and thought it would be a good time to highlight some of my favorite places that I have been to.
India – Goa and Sikkim
Nepal – Pokhara
Morocco – Todra Gorge and Merzouga
Spain – Granada
Tomorrow is my last full day in Rome and then I head to Germany for a little while.
